There is something most people don't realize about remodeling: more knowledge and expertise is often needed to remodel a home than to build one. New construction, while obviously being a major technical challenge, at least begins with a blank canvas - a vacant lot. A major remodeling project begins with an existing building and requires seamlessly integrating all aspects of the work - design, structure and cosmetics - into the existing house. Also, it can sometimes mean having to adjust and adapt to unanticipated discoveries after the project is underway. Crawford Builders has decades of major remodeling experience and understands the unique, challenging, and "artistic" nature of quality remodeling.

There is something else that distinguishes remodeling from new home construction: a remodeling project usually includes people living in the midst of the worksite. This requires additional forms of expertise, planning and sensitivity from the remodeler. Crawford Builders understands this challenge and how to minimize it, and we work closely with the family to manage the disruption.

And there's one more consideration that is very specific to Crawford Builders. The homebuilding side of our business has permitted us to establish strong relationships with some of the most skilled tradesmen and craftsmen in central Kentucky. Those relationships allow us to draw from that same pool of gifted people for our remodeling work. The simple fact is that we have access to a skill level of workmanship not often available from other remodeling companies.

Home Improvement

Although we specialize in new home construction and remodeling, do not assume that a home improvement repair job is too small for us. Just like remodeling, a small repair can be deceptively challenging. Those challenges can sometimes result in the same job being paid for twice - once to get it wrong and then the second time to get it right.
